About this Vacancy

DHEF-UGANDA is seeking a Communications Intern with a focus on partnership development. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical communications experience, play a vital role in identifying and securing new partners, and contribute to our mission of positive community impact.

Location: On-site/Remote

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Communications Team to develop and execute a partnership development strategy.

  • Conduct research to identify potential partners, donors, and collaborators aligned with our mission and programs.

  • Assist in creating compelling partnership proposals and presentations.

  • Actively engage in networking and outreach to establish and nurture relationships with prospective partners.

  • Work closely with the team to maintain a database of contacts and manage communication with partners.

  • Support the organisation's efforts to enhance visibility and reputation.

  • Assist in content creation for websites, and social media platforms to showcase partnerships and achievements.

  • Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and communications strategy discussions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Research skills and ability to identify potential partners.

  • Proactive and enthusiastic about relationship building and networking.

  • Highly organised and detail-oriented.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Commitment to DHEF-UGANDA's mission and values.

  • Must have internet/computer access.

  • Applicant must be able to speak English at a high level.
