Education Program Aid (EPA)
The Education Programme Aid (EPA) has a primary purpose: to provide educational materials and cover school fees for orphaned, street-connected, and vulnerable children living in both rural areas and urban slums of Masaka, Uganda. We firmly believe that creating a meaningful impact and driving transformation begins with the education of children, who represent the future leaders and citizens of our society. Thus, the overarching objective of this program is to uplift the educational status of impoverished children, street-connected youth, and orphans.
To achieve this goal, the program has set forth specific aims. These include fostering community engagement to advocate for the support and education of orphans and vulnerable children, boosting student enrolment rates, increasing educational opportunities for economically disadvantaged children, improving the living conditions of impoverished children through education, and economically empowering households that provide care for orphans and vulnerable children.

Our work in Lwengo
In 2022, DHEF-Uganda distributed scholarly materials to the local children in the Lwengo District, Masaka. We provided children the materials they need to succeed in school including books, stationary and activity sets. We encourage children to learn, explore and develop to become contributing members of society, providing opportunities for a better future.

Challenges
We believe in education for all, but due to the lack of learning materials and financial resources available, our efforts are limited.

Education is vital to break the cycle of poverty and make a change that will be felt by future generations. Education is a human right, DHEF-Uganda strives to ensure that these communities can reach their full potential through enhancing skills and knowledge.

Solution
To achieve our goals it is vital to secure more funds and materials to extend our support for orphaned and vulnerable children. Partnering with local communities and external organizations will enhance our collective impact. Volunteers are essential for our cause, contributing their time and passion. Sponsorships from individuals and businesses are vital for sustaining our mission.
