About this Vacancy
DHEF-UGANDA is seeking a Finance Intern to work closely with the organisation's Secretary in managing financial activities and actively participate in fundraising efforts. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical finance experience, contribute to a meaningful cause, and support the financial stability of our organisation.

Location: On-site
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including income, expenses, and budgets.

Support the organisation's budgeting and financial planning processes.
-
Actively advocate for and participate in fundraising efforts, including organising and helping with fundraising activities such as sponsored or promotional events, and house-to-house and street collections.

Assist in processing financial transactions, including payments, reimbursements, and donations.
-
Help ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
-
Work closely with the Secretary to track and manage donor contributions.

Help with grant applications.

Contribute to financial analysis to inform decision-making and resource allocation.

Assist in other finance-related tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Pursuing or completed a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
-
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (QuickBooks, etc.).
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Commitment to DHEF-UGANDA's mission and values, with a passion for fundraising and advocacy.
